Board of Port Commissioners
The Santa Cruz Port District is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Board of Port Commissioners. The four-year appointment will begin in December 2024, and end in December 2028. The seat will go to election in November 2028, for a new four-year term.
Eligibility - Division 2
To be considered for appointment, applicants must be a registered voter within the Santa Cruz Port District’s Division 2 boundary.

If you are interested in serving the harbor community, please submit a completed application along with a resume and “Statement of Qualifications” in person or by mail to the Santa Cruz Port District Commission at 135 5th Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Appointment will be made by the Port Commission at its regular public meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 5:30 pm, in the Harbor Public Meeting Room, 365 A Lake Avenue, Santa Cruz.
The Community & Port District
The Santa Cruz Port District is a municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the State of California. It is governed by an elected Board of Commissioners, each of whom is elected to serve a four-year term. The primary mission of the Santa Cruz Port Commission is to ensure that the Santa Cruz Harbor is a viable operational and financial entity, providing a full array of boating and marine related opportunities for the public.
